1. Open your Web browser and type in:
- http://mail.your domain name
For Example: http://mail.vectranet.com
This will take you to the logon screen.
2. Click the Login link after inputting your username and password.
- Type in your mail admin name for the username : hostmaster@yourdomain
(i.e hostmaster@vectranet.com)
- Type in your mail admin password (case sensitive)
3. Click on Web Administration at the top right hand corner.
4. Click on User Administration.
5. Click on Add and complete the fields accordingly.
- UserID
- This is the actual account name, and is the address to
which mail will be sent. For example, if you wanted to receive mail sent to info@your
domain you would type info in the field.

Full Name - This is the name you want others to see.
- Password
- This is the password that will be used to retrieve
mail from the server (case sensitive).
- Confirm Password
- Same as above.
- Max Mailbox Size
- The total size, in bytes, the account will
accept. Use this to limit the size of the mailbox. The standard mailbox
limitation is between 3-5MB, which would equal 3000000 or 5000000 in the
field. The default, zero, equals unlimited.
- Max Mailbox Messages
- The total number of messages the account will
accept. Use this to limit the size of the mailbox. The default, zero, equals
unlimited.
6. Default settings:
- Allow Password Change
- Grant Account Access
- Access LDAP Attributes
- Allow Web Access
7. Click Save.
8. Email support@vectranet.net the
new email addresses you just set up. This will ensure the email accounts
are functioning properly. |
